About Ouroboros
A Final Fantasy XIV Free Company that has survived six years, four expansions, one house relocation and an unreasonable number of bad pulls.
What ends here begins here.
Ouroboros started in 2021 as eight people who had just been dropped by a static that fell apart mid-tier. The founding idea was modest and slightly bitter: build the thing we'd wanted to be part of, and don't let it dissolve the moment progression ends.
Six years later that's still the whole design. We clear tiers, but the tier isn't the point — the point is that the same names are still in voice chat two expansions later. People take breaks. People come back. The company holds.
We're mid-core: serious enough to clear savage on a reasonable schedule, relaxed enough that nobody is going to review your logs unless you ask them to. We have no attendance quota, no application form of any length, and no interest in drama.

Medium plot, Lavender Beds — workshop, chocobo stable, and a top floor that four separate people have redecorated without permission.
Six years, briefly
Eight people and a grudge
Founded by the remains of a collapsed static. The name was chosen in about four minutes and has been defended at length ever since.
First tier cleared as a company
Two full groups running the same tier at different paces — the structure we still use. Team B exists so that Team A never has to bench anyone.
Open nights start
Someone suggested a weekly no-signup evening for whoever turned up. It's now the busiest thing on the calendar and the way most members arrive.
First Ultimate clear
Fourteen weeks of prog and a celebration that ran until four in the morning. The VOD is somewhere in the forums and is largely unwatchable.
148 members, still going
Relocated to the Lavender Beds, running three groups, and building this website so the Discord stops swallowing everything we write.
Officers
Any of them can get you an invite. None of them mind being messaged.
Vera Sunblade
Company Lead
Founder, recruiter, and the person who actually reads the calendar. Warrior main, reluctantly.
Nael Ashcroft
Raid Lead
Writes the strats, calls the pulls, and has never once been annoyed about a wipe. Suspiciously calm.
Seraphine
Healer Lead
Runs Team B and the mitigation sheet. Will teach you savage from zero if you ask nicely.
Pim Otter
Community
Gpose nights, screenshots, and the person who makes sure new members get spoken to.
Common questions
No. A good half of the company never sets foot in savage. Open nights, maps, crafting and gpose are the whole experience for plenty of members and nobody thinks less of them for it.
Not for the company. The static teams do ask that you tell them if you can't make a night, which is just courtesy rather than policy. Disappear for six months and come back — you'll still be in the roster.
Join the Discord, say hello in #the-gate, and an officer will send you an in-game invite — usually the same evening. There's no form, no interview, and no trial period.
The opposite. Several officers will happily run you through content they've done four hundred times, and Seraphine teaches savage from scratch every tier. Come to an open night and say so.
You can join the Discord and raid with us via travel, but the in-game Free Company itself requires a character on Zodiark. Plenty of people run an alt for exactly this reason.
Be decent to each other, keep the drama out of the company, and don't be weird about anyone's parses. That's genuinely the entire list. Officers step in rarely and decisively.
Come and say hello.
No form, no interview. Join the Discord, introduce yourself in #the-gate, and someone will get you sorted before the evening's out.
